St John is a part of The United Church of Christ. We believe God is still speaking to us all. We work to understand who we are and how we fit in God's plan today.
Since 1885 this sacred and beautiful, historical building has been home to our church members serving the surrounding community and sharing the word of Christ.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream! And Vacation Bible Camp! Yes, it is that amazing time of year when we can eat more ice cream than is good for us, enjoy long lazy days of sunshine and fresh air, and revel in Vacation Bible Camp at St. John! Our week of camp is planned for August 3 - 7th, and lasts from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. This year our theme is “All of God’s Creatures,” and we will focus on the animals of the Bible. We’ll be baking homemade dog treats, then we will deliver them to a pet shelter and have fun volunteering there for a while. We’ll have stories, crafts, games, movies, and field trips. Farm day at the Kayler’s. Everything focused on our animal friends. A light breakfast and a yummy lunch everyday. And at absolutely no cost to participants at all! So please plan on attending and bring a friend if you like. We are also looking for adult volunteers, so if you would like to help, even for a half day, that would be terrific. For planning purposes, we would like to know if you will attend (either as a participant or volunteer) by August 24th. Please reach out to the church and let us know. stjohnUCCpalatine@gmail.com
