Serving our church, our neighbors and our community. In doing so we find the joy in the Lord.
Our Socks & Stuff for the Soul campaign started with a goal of 1,750 pairs of socks to be donated to the homeless thru Connections for the Homeless to honor our 175th Anniversary in 2021. As the need grew so did the giving. We surpassed that amount beyond anything we could have imagined, with donations of socks, hats, mittens, underwear, clothing, and personal need items.
Thank you to all who gave.
Our current Christmas Year end giving fund went to Heifer International. We provided 1 water buffalo, 2 flocks of ducks, 1 honey bee hive, one hope basket, water for life for a community as well as a community animal health worker kit. This kit give the needed education and materials for a woman to keep the animals in her community safe and healthy.
When someone asked us, "What is the best part of serving," the answer was:
"The camaraderie of coming together to accomplish the goal and helping others."
